AEW ALL IN LONDON 2024 - Wembley Stadium
MJF © vs WILL OSPREAY (AEW All American Championship Match)
A special video montage in collaboration with Assassins Creed for Will Ospreay in the lead up to the new Assassins Creed game releasing in November, starts the entrances for the match. The video montage with a narration and look throughout the Aerial Assassins career. Before showing the stage with the camera doing a full 360 around Ospreay as he appears from below and round his accompanying performers. Rising from below in a special robe, with his head covered by the hood, in true Assassins Creed fashion.
Ospreay makes his way to the ring as his entrance music is sung for him by the home crowd in London. The pyro matches the feel for this big match for both men as they battle for the AEW International Title or All American Title as MJF now calls it. The 50 thousand plus in attendance shouted Ospreay’s name as he pointed to each part of Wembley Stadium.
The “All American” Champion then makes his entrance in extremely patriotic fashion, head to toe in stars and stripes like his beloved American flag. The crowd initially booed MJF before singing along with his theme song as he walked to the ring. The crowd possibly still clinging to his babyface persona at All In 2023, where he main evented against his then “best friend” Adam Cole.
An introduction from Justin Roberts as MJF drops to his knees with his arms by his side. Red, white and blue ribbons sprayed into the air as a large USA flag is then unveiled behind MJF with his face replacing the stars on said flag.
Both men not taking their eyes off each other as they look across the ring ready to go to war with each other. Chants of “OSPREAY! OSPREAY! OSPREAY!” echo through Wembley as the atmosphere intensifies.
All Ospreay in the early goings of the match as he looks for the Hidden Blade early, which MJF dodges, Ospreay then nearly taking out the official with the Hidden Blade making him stop in his tracks.
MJF takes advantage of the distraction with a rake to the eyes of Ospreay as he looks to start some momentum of his own and put an end to Ospreay’s. MJF starts his attack before showboating to the fans which isn’t well received. Continuing with crashing Ospreay into the rails on the outside, before a driveby kick to the head as Ospreay sits on a chair next to the rails.
Ospreay tried to rally back into the match but is stopped as MJF delivers a high back drop to the outside, with a nasty landing for Ospreay. Red, white and blue ribbons dangling down from the screens above which could be a distraction later in the match for both competitors.
A great sequence as Ospreay goes for the Oscutter but MJF counters with a piledriver attempt of his own. With counter after counter following as both look for a rollup pin. This continues as Ospreay looks for a Poison Rana, which is also countered by MJF into a powerbomb backbreaker, but not enough for the 3 count.
The crowd trying to will on Ospreay with the home fans behind him. However, taking too long as MJF grabs his hair and throws him backwards into the mat. MJF taunts the fans with a kangaroo stance just like last year from All In, also landing it beautifully which is complimented on commentary by Taz. However, showing off too much as Ospreay jumps from the top rope landing a great elbow strike similar to another former NJPW star in AJ Styles’ Phenomenal Forearm.
MJF just about gets back to his feet first, before Ospreay kicks himself back up as if he got a second wind. Then trying to bounce off the ropes before a nonchalant poke in the eyes from MJF as is one of his trademark moves, then sticking two middle fingers up to the London crowd.
Ospreay then gets the second wind as he unloads kicks on MJF and bounces off the ropes before a big kick to the head of MJF but still not enough for the win.
The home crowd tries to encourage Ospreay as he gets back to his feet. MJF then clears his nose on Ospreay, living up to his scumbag nickname. Before Ospreay unleashes offense including kicks to the head as Ospreay holds MJF head down and a standing twist flip perfectly executed.
MJF rolls to the outside but Ospreay sees as opportunity as he gets the crowd to chant with him as he looks Sunske Special. However, MJF counters catching Ospreay before a tombstone piledriver on the outside leads to a sickening thud, with Ospreay immediately clutching his head.
Taz says “that was perfectly” referring to the execution of the move by MJF and Tony Schiavane even saying it was “tremendous”, unlike him to compliment MJF.
MJF goes to the apron and taunts Ospreay saying “you think you’re special because you can flip? Anyone can flip, you piece of sh**!” as he turns and bounces off the second rope looking to take out Ospreay with a backflip.
Ospreay ducks out of the way, luckily MJF lands the flip but runs into a Spanish Fly on the outside from Osoreay as both men are down again. Ospreay gets MJF back into the ring apron and hangs him on the ropes as he does a Shooting Star Press off the top rope onto a helpless All American Champion.
The challenger continues with an attempted Storm Breaker but yet another counter as MJF pikes Ospreay with a Cross Rhodes, the finisher of old friend and now WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. Although, still not enough for the win and Ospreay clutching his neck again following the impact.
The champion hoists up a lifeless looking Ospreay before shouting “BRAINBUSTER!” but the Aerial Assassin again counters with a Stint Dog Millionaire. Before a rapid bounce off the ropes with an Oscutter to follow as he wastes no time. Again still not enough for the win.
Ospreay again wastes no time as he delivers multiple nasty kicks to the face of MJF. To the point of the spit literally being taken out of MJF’s mouth with referee Bryce Remsburg almost caught in the crossfire if it wasn’t for his sharp reflexes.
That combined with another but this time second rope jump Oscutter, leads many to think that it’s over, but only a near fall gets his foot on the rope. MJF briefly fakes an injury before a nasty piledriver from him to Ospreay as he lands on the crown of his head but is still able to kick out.
A failed roll up, a big thrust kick. Spinning elbow puts Ospreay down on the canvas. Friedman then looks for a Clothesline out of the corner, again expertly countered into the Storm Breaker perfectly executed as have so many moves in the match. Another kick out of 2.85 as the match continues.
Ospreay in the corner as the crowd chants for the Tiger Driver 91’, he takes off his elbow pad as he looks for the Hidden Blade before MJF rolls out of the ring. However, Ospreay looks to meet MJF on the apron with an Oscutter, which MJF just manages to dodge, with a rough landing for the challenger.
MJF then climbs the ropes on the apron as Ospreay slowly gets to his feet and plants him with a move taken from Adam Cole as he mimics his Panama Sunrise. Ospreay looks to just make the count before falling on the apron, but still manages to drag himself back to beat the 10 count, to MJF’s disbelief.
As MJF looks to end the match, he tries to kick the back of Ospreay’s head but Ospreay flops to the mat. As Ospreay is on the apron he looks for a Heatseeker as he gathers more heat saying “GOD BLESS AMERICA!” with the UK fans. Ospreay sends MJF across the ring before he runs back to the ropes and is greeted with a big cut and spiking Oscutter from the home hero.
Wembley Stadium on their feet as they chant “THIS IS AWESOME!” in this hard hitting match, with both men leaving everything in the ring.
Another attempt at the Hidden Blade doesn’t go to plan as Ospreay takes out a cameraman on the outside. He is visibly shaken by this before returning to the ring where MJF is waiting with his title. Ospreay ducks out of the way to avoid the title shot, before a big pump kick and looking for the Hidden Blade again. However, countered again by MJF, this time hitting Ospreay with the title as he meant to do just moments earlier. MJF getting rid of the evidence, covering the title to the outside before covering Ospreay.
A kick out by Ospreay at 2.85 before MJF hits a Brainbuster, which is still not enough with a kick out at 2.99 by the challenger, possibly just on instinct alone. Wembley try their best to encourage Ospreay, chanting his name to try and encourage their local hero.
The referee then knocked to the outside before both men looked for a Tiger Driver, with Ospreay receiving a low blow as MJF took advantage of no official in the ring. MJF then again tried to take advantage of no official in the ring as he tried to use a knuckle weapon, before a masked man appeared to stop him. A returning Daniel Garcia looks to get revenge for the beat down from MJF then puts him on the shelf for months.
As MJF turns to realise what has happened, he then turns to say “you piece of sh**!” as he continues to be distracted. Ospreay lands a huge running Hidden Blade to MJF before looking around Wembley and hitting the top rop in almost Ultimate Warrior fashion.
Then hooking MJF and shouting “TIGER DRIVER”as the crowd anticipated. He spikes MJF on the back of his neck before Bryce Remsburg rolls back into the ring. A slow count, but 1…2…3! The Aeriel Assassin Will Ospreay regains the AEW International Championship.
He celebrates before Christopher Daniels comes into the ring and hands Ospreay the original International Title, which Ospreay gladly receives and shows off to his home crowd. The fireworks start from the roof and arch of Wembley Stadium as the celebration begins for the new AEW Internatiional Champion.
