Jon Moxley (c) vs “Hangman”Adam Page - All In Texas 2025 (AEW World Championship Match)
A match months in the making. From the moment that Adam Page won the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament against Will Ospreay in May at Double Or Nothing. The chance to regain the AEW World Championship from the man that had held the title hostage since last October in Jon Moxley. Now in the biggest event of the year for AEW, “Hangman” Page had the chance to capture the title for the second time.
The entrance for “Hangman” was epic with a live performance on the stage before the return of the original AEW entrance music for Page in Ghost Town Triumph by Vincent Pedulla. A roaring reception from the Texas crowd for the returning theme song. As well as the exceptional and large pyro presence as he walked to the ring, which made the big fight feel grow more as he headed to the ring for the Texas Death Match.
On the other hand, the Champion Jon Moxley entered the stadium on the back of a large pick up truck with huge exhausts. He was accompanied by the members of his group in the Death Riders. They made their way through the crowd at Globe Life Field as per their usual entrance.
Hangman is 4-1 in Death matches only losing to Swerve Strickland.
Stiff forearms to the face of each man to start the match. The opening went back and forth between both men before Moxley started to get control. He then brandished a fork from his gear as a weapon against Hangman but could not make it to Hangman in time. Then Page revealed a fork of his own from his gear, beating Moxley at his own game as he was the one to make Moxley bleed first.
The second weapon of the match was introduced by the challenger in the shape of barbed wire. However, the roles reversed as Mox got his hands on the barbed wire, wrapping it wrong the head of Hangman. As Mox distracted the referee Marina Shafir grabbed hold of Hangman biting his head to open up his wounds more which seemed to work.
A continuous flow of punishment from Moxley as he introduced a steel chair wrapped in barbed wire. He then body slammed Hangman onto the chair with Hangman shouting in pain as a result. Blood poured from the head of the challenger with Mox not relenting as he hit continuous right hands on him.
A brief moment of hope for Page as he tried to get the chair that had been lodged in between the turnbuckles and use it on Mox. However, Moxley dived out of the way, turning around kicking the chair into Hangman’s head. The referee started a count for a possible knock out but only got to 4 before Page reached his feet.
The brutality of the match increased with Mox adding broken glass to the mat. He would then rub the glass into Hangman’s wounds on his head before a Piledriver on the glass. Although, only a 7 count before he made it to his feet with glass lodged in his back. Page tried to fight back into the match but another Piledriver quickly stopped his attempts.
A revived Hangman on the top turnbuckle tried to get momentum from the crowd but barbed wire stopped that. However, whilst on the mat Page then turned 2 chairs around that had been set up by Mox in which they were now back to back. As Mox was taunting the crowd Page picked him up from the turnbuckle and Power Bombed him onto the back of both chairs. A collective gasp and shout from the crowd and commentators, along with the shouts of agony from the Champion showed a potential turn in the match.
A rejuvenated Hangman then continued on Mox with multiple Lariats with barbed wire wrapped around his arm. There was an attempt from Wheeler Yuta to stop Hangman with a chair but Page quickly eliminated him from the equation with the barbed wire arm of his.
It was the turn of Mox to get counted as he was on the receiving end of an Angels Wings, a nod to the former mentor of Page’s in Christopher Daniels. But Hangman wanted more as he looked for a Buckshot Lariat but was interrupted on the apron by Marina Shafir. He managed to turn around on the apron and put Shafir through an awaiting table on the outside.
The momentum continued for Page as he threw Mox into a barbed wire steel chair in between the turnbuckles then a Deadeye to follow. However, just as the official was about to start the count Claudio Castagnoli attacked Page from behind.
As the Death Riders looked to beat down Page and put him through a table they were stopped in their tracks by an arriving Will Ospreay. A man who said he would have the back of Hangman despite losing to him in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament final.
Unfortunately for Ospreay, Gabe Kidd swiftly put an end to his heroics by putting him in a Guillotine Hold. He then was the victim of a beat down from all 3 Death Rider members and a Piledriver on the outside from Gabe Kidd. Just when it seemed it couldn’t get worse for Ospreay, Castagnoli wrapped a chair around his neck and stomped on the chair to take out Ospreay for good.
The action returned to the ring with Mox and Page on the apron and lurking behind them was 2 barbed wire tables. It went back and forth between the men before Mox was able to Vertical Suplex Page through the tables. Even more blood then poured from the bodies of the 2 men as they somehow made it to their feet before the 10 count of the referee.
As the camera panned to Will Ospreay being taken to the back on a stretcher and a neck brace, Mox and Hangman stood head to head with each other in the middle of the ring. Both men hammered each other with big right arms before Mox once again regained control with a Lariat off the ropes then another Piledriver before a Bulldog Choke to try and win the match. He managed to make it to his feet, “by the narrowest of margins” as Excalibur explained with the official waving for the match to continue.
Moxley did not waste any more time as he set up a chair, with a Death Rider through the chair to Hangman to try and do all he can to take down Page for the 10 count. Another close moment for Page as he just about made it to his feet with the camera so close you could hear how out of breath he was.
A frustrated figure in Moxley looked to Claudio who got out a plastic bag before handing it to Yuta. It appeared he wanted to end the match the same way he started his 4th reign as AEW World Champion against Bryan Danielson by wrapping the plastic bag over the head of Hangman.
Although Mox did appear to be in control a video started to play on the screens in Globe Life Field. It appeared to show Darby Allin at the top of Mount Everest saying he will take everything from Moxley. A confused Moxley looked to intimidate the referee before a masked man entered the ring. He threw his arms in the air as the crowd chanted “YES! YES! YES!” as it could have been only one man.
The man took off his mask to reveal BRYAN DANIELSON. The entire stadium erupted for the man that was taken out by the Death Riders at Wrestle Dream last year. He attacked every member of the Death RIders to even the score for Hangman.
As the carnage on the outside continued, a figure appeared to be descending from the top of the stadium. The crowd erupted again as they saw it was Darby Allin coming down to the ring. He perched onto the apron before Moxley turned around and couldn't believe what he was seeing.
With Moxley distracted, Page took full advantage with a Buckshot Lariat to Mox. He encouraged both Danielson and Darby to keep going, in which Darby mounted the turnbuckle and to take out the Death Riders on the outside with a Coffin Drop.
A second Buckshot Lariat to Moxley as Darby and Danielson took care of the Death Riders and threw them into the crowd as they chased them. The match continued on the apron with another table set up as Hangman hoisted Moxley up and hit a Deadeye through the table.
With the aid of Marina Shafir, Moxley was able to make the 10 count. Sahfir then stared at Page as she stuck a middle finger up to him saying “F**K Y**!” Then with Hangman distracted, the Young Bucks snuck up behind Page and Super Kicked him before an EVP Trigger to their former Elite partner.
The camera switched back to Moxley and Shafir, which showed them lifting a bed of nails onto the ring apron before sliding it into the ring. Moxley set the bed of nails up in the middle of the ring before a Stomp to the face of Hangman onto the nails. Moxley took a leaf out of the book of his former Shield member Seth Rollins. He followed it up with a Paradigm Shift into the bed of nails
The Young Bucks could be seen counting as Hangman was on the floor but he managed to make it to his feet before 10. Moxley then looked to Shafir again telling her to give him the key that was around her neck and instructed her to get the briefcase with the title in.
As she collected the briefcase and tried to go back to the ring, she appeared to be handcuffed to something. Then appeared Prince Nana from the table where the briefcase was, as he danced for the realisation from Mox and Shafir that she could not move.
With Moxley occupied trying to free Shafir, Swerve Strickland appeared with Hangman’s chain to take out the Young Bucks on the outside. Hangman looked over almost in disbelief but Swerve looked him dead in the eye and threw the chain to him as if to say use it to help.
Swerve could only watch on as Hangman started to use the chain on Moxley. He seemed to try and wrap it round the neck of Moxley to choke him out over the ropes as he did to win their first Death Match. However, Moxley seemed to be equal to it as he stopped him. Although Hangman was not done, he turned and threw himself into the ring for another Buckshot Lariat this time onto the bed of nails.
With blood pouring from the back of Moxley from the bed of nails, he was thrown over the top rope by Hangman. With the chain still wrapped around his neck the choke was fully locked in and as dangerous as ever. There was struggle from Moxley and a look of desperation and realisation as he was running out of oxygen. He seemed to know his reign of terror was over as he tapped out and was released from the hold but had lost his clutch on the AEW World Championship.
The crowd erupted and emotion poured out of Hangman as he began his second reign as AEW World Champion. His former enemy turned ally in Swerve Strickland looked on with a grin and nodded his approval to Hangman.
The referee raised the hand of Page as he unlocked the briefcase and revealed it back to the crowd to an enormous ovation. As he lifted the title above his head, Justin Roberts said “AND NEWWWWW, ALL ELITE WRESTLING WORLD CHAMPION, “HANGMAN” ADAM PAGE!”
An unbelievable match to main event the biggest show of the year for AEW. Continuous action from start to finish from both competitors, with unimaginable violence in between. A perfect story to end the reign of terror of Jon Moxley and the Death Riders with help from Bryan Danielson, Will Ospreay, Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana. An outpouring of emotion from not only “Hangman” Page but the AEW fans in the stadium and around the World as they have a World Champion to show off their World Championship with pride.
