Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland vs The Young Bucks - All In Texas 2025 (Globe Life Field)
A high stakes match for both teams with tremendous amounts on the line. If Ospreay and Swerve did not win they would not be able to challenge for the AEW World Championship going forward. Whereas if The Young Bucks failed to win they would be stripped of their EVP titles in AEW. High stakes and high pressure for all involved in this match.
Each competitor had a special and unique entrance as they made their way to the ring. Ospreay with another Assassins Creed style entrance with assassins on the ramp to walk him down to the ring as per his partnership with Assassins Creed. Also accompanied by various pyro throughout the entrance to add to his appearance. Swerve Strickland came next, with Jojo Offerman (the widow of the Late Great Bray Wyatt) singing Ain’t Nobody by Shaka Khan as Swerve would come to the ring to the same song in the early part of his career.
Next up was the Young Bucks, who came to the top of the ramp with their signature pose as pyro went off around them. Then went off the side of the stage and came out on a makeshift ship as they came to the ring for their “Founding Fathers” gimmick of AEW. An entertaining and amusing entrance as they took considerable time to make their way to the ring and had Justin Roberts read out a scroll to add to their entrance and characters.
Eventually, the match got underway with a quick start from the Young Bucks. A clear indication of what Ospreay and Swerve had to contend with as they worked together smoothly from the outset as to be expected.
After a period of dominance from the Bucks, Ospreay and Swerve managed to get their offense going with good teamwork despite not being tag team wrestlers. Both men looked smooth and effortless doing some moves together as if they had been a team for quite some time.
The Bucks managed to get back on top with more great team work like the team they have been for so many years. However, after trying for a possible TK Driver on the outside to Ospreay, Swerve came back into the match to help his teammate but was “greeted with a pair of superkicks” as Excalibur explained.
Following another period of dominance from the Bucks, Ospreay was able to counter a move from them and make a tag to Swerve to get him into the match. Great offense from Swerve on both Matthew and Nicolas to keep them down and at bay.
Then more good team work from Ospreay and Swerve with double Hurricanrana’s which sent the Bucks onto the outside. They both looked at the crowd to hype them up, which they did loudly, before going over the top rope to take out both men on the floor. Some great momentum for both men.
The makeshift team once again showed their combined skills with a continued attack on the Bucks. This time simultaneous stereo Sky Twisters to the outside by Ospreay and to the inside by Swerve. However, it was unable to get the win for them as the match continued on.
As the pair tried to continue their momentum and end the match, the Bucks took over again. With extensive moves from their arsenal, from a running knee to the Escalara. Although, that was also not enough to get the job done as the match continued.
After continued efforts from the Bucks, Nicholas Jackson chose to try and end the match with a move from an old friend turned enemy in Hangman Adam Page. The Buckshot Lariat attempted on Ospreay but was reversed. Then both men countered each other until Ospreay was able to land a superkick on Nicholas. As he tried to do the same to his brother it was blocked, then Nicholas returned the favour with a superkick of his own.
An amazing sequence followed with superkicks, reversals, destroyers, Hidden Blade and a House Call. The end result was every man laid out in the ring, with the crowd of nearly 30,000 in Arlington on their feet to show their appreciation.
Following a back and forth between both teams, one of which was at the top of the turnbuckle, the Bucks seemed to be in control. However, they were caught on the top turnbuckle as Sunset Powerbombs were turned into simultaneous Styles Clashes to the Bucks.
The offense didn't stop there as they hoisted up Matthew Jackson as Swerve went to the top turnbuckle. A Swerve Stomp into the Storm Breaker with an incredible move from both men done so smoothly. The match appeared to be over if it wasn’t for the last ditch interception from Nicholas Jackson to continue the match. “Big time save by Nicholas for his brother Matthew” said Taz as this contest went on.
As Nicholas then again interfered to save his brother, he was alone on the outside with Prince Nana as he looked at him before he delivered a nasty Superkick to Nana. A chorus of boos from the crowd for Nicholas Jackson. He then caught Ospreay with a kick on the ropes which went into a roll up pin with Matthew using the ropes for extra leverage but Ospreay was still able to kick out.
With Ospreay trying to get back into the match Matthew then obscured the referee's view before a low blow to Ospreay. A “veteran move” from the Bucks as Tony Schiavone pointed out. The Bucks then turned their attention back to Swerve on the outside with a TK Driver on the outside to take him out of the action, allowing them to focus on Ospreay.
A helpless Ospreay was the subject of his own move with the Hidden Blade delivered by Nicholas. That was followed by a More Bang For Your Buck by Matthew and Nicholas, but a kick out yet again by Ospreay to the disbelief of the Bucks.
All of the control was with the Bucks as they looked to end the match again with an EVP Trigger. A reversal by Ospreay as he tried to do a double Oscutter to the Bucks, who reversed themselves back into a EVP Trigger to lay out Ospreay. Despite this, Swerve reentered the match to save the 3 count to the approval of the fans.
As the Young Bucks tried to go straight onto the attack to Swerve, he managed to turn it around on them. A quick roll up to try and win the match but was unable to get the 3 count unfortunately.
With Ospreay looking to end the match he tried to deliver a Hidden Blade to Nicholas but missed and ended up catching Swerve instead. The Bucks capitalised with another EVP Trigger after being folded onto his neck by Nicholas. Still the match went on as Ospreay kicked out again.
The Bucks continued in their pursuit for victory as they went for and hit the TK Driver on Ospreay but yet again he kicked out, to the astonishment of The Bucks, who thought they had the match won.
The Bucks then hung Ospreay in the ropes and offloaded kick after kick to the head of the Aerial Assassin. As Swerve stepped in to protect Ospreay he became the target for the vicious kicks. He seemed to get a burst of energy but was caught again by the kicks, as he went to his knees he was in perfect position for the EVP Trigger.
The Bucks went for the EVP Trigger but it was caught by Swerve. Both brothers stood up pleading with Swerve to let them go when Ospreay hit a Hidden Blade on Nicholas taking him out. They hoisted Matthew up for a Tombstone and Swerve Stomp combo immediately after but Matthew was just about able to kick out.
With the win not secured yet, Swerve was in the face of Ospreay telling him to hit the Hidden Blade on Matthew as Nicholas tried to stop but was blocked by Swerve. However, he was able to push Swerve onto the subsequent pin to stop the 3 count for the win. Swerve then took care of Nicholas on the outside as he sprung off the ropes into a Swerve Stomp.
The end of the match came from Swerve and Ospreay, both on opposite corners of the ring. They both hit the House Call and Hidden Blade collectively and simultaneously on Matthew Jackson, dropping him instantly. Swerve went for the cover with Ospreay covering the ropes so that Nicholas couldn’t stop the pin.
1…2…3! Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland win and maintain the right to challenge for the AEW World Championship. However, The Young Bucks will now have the EVP titles stripped from them as a consequence of losing their match at All In.
A fantastic match from a veteran tag team and a makeshift tag team that at times seemed as though they had been teaming together for years. Most of the match was mainly dominated by the Bucks but Ospreay and Swerve grew into the match and most importantly ended the strongest and with their arms raised in the end. The packed crowd at Globe Life Field added to the match with chants, boos, cheers and an intense atmosphere which showed they were on the edges of their seats for most of the match. A standing ovation in the end for each of the competitors as a contender for Match Of The Night came to a close.
