Atlanta Falcons vs Indianapolis Colts (NFL Week 10 - Berlin Game 2025)

1ST QUARTER

9:24 ON THE CLOCK: A 3rd & 8 for Atlanta tried to make it past midfield but it didn’t go to plan as the ball was fumbled by QB Michael Penix Jr. The sack by Safety Bynum pushed the ball into the air and was picked up by the Colts for a turnover in possession. The Colts then had the ball inside the 25 yard line as they started their first drive, with the ball handed to Ashton Dulin as he ran to the 1 yard line, just shy of the opening touchdown. However, Jonathan Taylor was handed the ball on the 1st & GOAL, which he used to dive into the endzone. The extra point was wide right by Michael Badgley so the score stayed at 6-0.

6:36 ON THE CLOCK: The first meaningful drive from the Falcons was inside the 15 yard line due to the combo of QB Michael Penix Jr. and WR Drake London. On the 1st & GOAL the ball was handed to RB Tyler Allgeier, who managed to drive through the Colts defence before being stopped on the 1 yard line. The 1st & GOAL was a duplicate of the previous play with Allgeier driving into the endzone to tie the game. The extra point was good and the Colts took a 7-6 lead.

6:06 ON THE CLOCK: The reply from the Colts was immediate. A 1st & 10 on the 35 yard line was given to Jonathan Taylor to run with, which he did and some. He busted through tackles and stayed on his feet past midfield and into the 35 yard line of the Falcons half of the field. On the next play Daniel Jones went deep to the endzone, the ball was caught by WR Alec Pierce. A great catch with pressure from the Falcons defence in the endzone. Indianapolis retook the lead 7-13.

2ND QUARTER

3:30 ON THE CLOCK: Despite continuous turnovers in possession for both teams in the 2nd quarter, Atlanta made progress towards the endzone before halftime. A crucial catch and 1st down from TE Charlie Woerner put the Falcons up the field, which they built on. On 2nd & 6, Penix Jr. floated the ball towards Drake London with a fantastic diving catch into the endzone for the touchdown. The lead changed again, Falcons 14-13 Colts.

0:20 ON THE CLOCK: A solid first half for Daniel Jones didn’t end in the way he would have wanted. Despite running with the ball on the drive to end the half and making it to midfield, the 3rd & 11 seemed to have a desperate throw to try and find a receiver down field. He didn’t manage to find a teammate and found a Falcons defender instead for the interception. That put an end to the drive and the first half as the Colts took their lead into the second half.

HALF TIME - ATLANTA FALCONS 14-13 INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

3RD QUARTER

12:35 ON THE CLOCK: The Falcons continued their offensive momentum into the second half. Their opening drive of the half moved continuously forward with Kyle Pitts Sr and Bijan Robinson the driving forces behind that. However, on 3rd & 5 from the 25 yard line their progress was halted with a pass intended for Pitts Sr hitting the COlts defender as he tried to catch the ball for the touchdown. The Falcons went for the field goal on 4th down with kicker Zane Gonzalez making the 43 yard attempt with his first field goal try for the Falcons. They extended their lead to 17-13.

10:28 ON THE CLOCK: Following a great kick return from Ashton Dulin past midfield, the Colts looked to be in a good position to get points from the drive. A good catch and run from Jonathan Taylor gave them another 1st down inside the 25 yard line. Unfortunately for Indianapolis, the next play resulted in a forced fumble by Daniel Jones and turnover as it was recovered by the Falcons.

1:35 ON THE CLOCK: The ball was back in the hands of Daniel Jones on 3rd & 6 inside the 10. He tried to run the ball himself but was unable to get the first down. The 4th & 2 was given to Jonathan Taylor but the Falcons defence stayed strong and they were able to make the stop to give themselves the ball back.

4TH QUARTER

9:42 ON THE CLOCK: Another good kick return from the Colts and Josh Downs put them past midfield and into a good position for their drive. As the drive continued, it was 3rd & 10 on the 14 yard line but Jones was stopped in his tracks as he tried to run the ball for the 1st down. A field goal followed to put the Colts within 1 again in a tight game.

6:17 ON THE CLOCK: A 2nd & 2 for Indianapolis on their 17 yard line was handed to Jonathan Taylor again who looked to have his progress stalled after getting the 1st down. However, he managed to stay on his feet and find a gap of open space to run into and managed to avoid tackles to run all the way for the touchdown! An exceptional play from the star Running Back for the Colts. Although the Colts went for a 2-point conversion they were unable to add the points but still took a 5 point lead, 17-22.

1:48 ON THE CLOCK: The Falcons had to make the drive count as it could have been the end of the game if not. They managed to work the ball to 2nd & GOAL from the 1 yard line. It was handed to RB Allgeier again who found a gap and barged his way into the endzone for the touchdown. They followed it up with a 2-point conversion attempt, which was neatly worked by Penix Jr. and Drake London to move quickly and make the catch to make it 25-22.

1:44 ON THE CLOCK: An instant reply from the Colts with a third great kick return making it past midfield. Ameer Abdullah almost went for the touchdown but a last ditch tackle by Natrone Brooks saved that from happening. Another run from Daniel Jones had the Colts needing yards on 4th & 2 which they had to go for. A great catch from Tyler Warren got the 1st down and more. The Colts were unable to get another 1st down, therefore it fell to Michael Badgley who kicked the 44 yard game tying field goal.

END OF REGULATION - ATLANTA FALCONS 25 - 25 INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

3:38 ON THE CLOCK: Indianapolis had the ball at 2nd & 4 on the 8 yard line following a great drive when they needed it most. A perfect pass from Daniel Jones and terrific catch from rookie Tyler Warren put the Colts in the Falcons territory. This was added to by Jonathan Taylor running the ball up the field.

The 2nd & 4 was handed to Taylor again with Tyler Warren acting as a blocker for him to give him a path to the endzone, which he took. He used the path and empty space to make it to the endzone for the game winning touchdown!

A back and forth game which had the lead changing hands continuously. From missed field goals, interceptions, fumbles and game tying plays to the end of regulation, the game lived up to expectations and more for the German fans. A great turnout and incredible atmosphere elevated the game to a great mid season matchup. In the end the Indianapolis Colts came away with the victory as they moved to 8-2 and continued their incredibly impressive season.
